COVID-19: Office Updates

The health and wellbeing of our team, patients, and community is our highest priority. We look forward to continuing the highest level dental care when cleared to do so by health officials.

Salem Dental Arts is closed until 6/8/2020
We will remain open for Emergency Patients

My dental office is closed, what does that mean for me?

Although the office is closed, we are still here for you. The office is following the recommendations from the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and has been closed for any elective treatment since March 16th. We will re-open to our regular schedule when the recommendations change and allow us to do so. As of now, we plan to be back in the office on June 8th, 2020. If this changes, we will notify you. We are available for dental emergencies as well as teledentistry. Teledentistry allows the patient to consult with the doctor without coming into the office to determine the necessary treatment plan.

Dental hygienist, Diane, at Salem Dental Arts

Diane Proudy

Dental Hygienist

Diane has been practicing as a Registered Dental Hygienist since she graduated from Middlesex County Community College in 2006. As a North Shore native, she joined the practice in 2008 and has been working with Dr. Maragliano since 2014. Diane has had an interest in dental hygiene since she was young and was inspired by her long-time hygienist, who she has been seeing since the age of fifteen. Diane went back to school so she could pursue her passion where she does an amazing job at helping our patients gain overall oral health and health awareness. Dentistry isn't Diane's only passion; she loves traveling to new places and finding new recipes to cook!

Dental assistant, Helen, at Salem Dental Arts

Helen Bennett

Dental Assistant

Helen has been a dental assistant since 1981 after becoming a certified dental assistant through the Lynn Tech Vocational Program. She has been with Dr. Maragliano since she opened Salem Dental Arts in 2014, but has been in the practice for about 30 years! Helen is a native of the North Shore and she is our go-to when we need dinner or Italian pastry recommendations! Helen is extremely family oriented, so it’s no surprise that the patients are like an extended part of her family. When Helen isn't working, she loves spending time with her family and playing with her two Shih Tzus, Marky Mark and Zuzupetals.

Office manager, Brittany, at Salem Dental Arts

Brittany Coiro

Office Manager

Brittany is our newest member of the team, but certainly is not new to dentistry. She entered the dental field in 2005, starting out as a dental assistant, working part-time while attending Salem high School and then attending Salem State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Brittany has been working in dentistry for nearly half her life and cannot imagine doing anything else. However, there is always time for fun! Brittany loves going to the beach in the summer and during the rest of the year, she enjoys watching football and hockey games, but prefers to be at the stadium watching.

Office mascot, Senorita Diente, at Salem Dental Arts

Senorita Diente

Office Mascot

Senorita Diente is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is often seen outside the office as Dr. Maragliano’s sidekick but is in training to become a part-time office assistant. She likes to greet patients and has been seen asking for a biscuit or two. She also has been lobbying for scheduled office naps and walks to the local biscuit shops. She enjoys fetch, frisbee, dressing up, shopping, eating and meeting up with her friends for hikes and playtime. If you want to follow her adventures, follow her instagram at @SenoritaDiente_the_cav
