Types of Issues You Can Remedy with Dental BondingIf you haven't heard of dental bonding, you may be missing out on a great solution to minor cosmetic dental issues. Dental bonding uses a type of composite material that is colored to look exactly like the rest of your teeth.

The material actually bonds to your tooth, creating a seamless look that doesn't stand out. In fact, people will never realize you even have any dental bonding in your mouth. So what types of issues can you fix with this amazing material?

Chipped Teeth

If you have a small chip in one of your teeth, there may not be much that can be done about it using other methods. These little chips often can't be repaired with any other material other than dental bonding because they're so small. Fortunately, dental bonding can be molded so that it perfectly fits into the chipped area. Since it is the glue, there's no other substance necessary to hold it in place. This allows even a tiny amount of the material to be used on a tooth.

Broken Teeth

Likewise, dental bonding can repair broken teeth. This is a great option for those who are on a budget and don't want the expense of an extraction and implant replacement. Dental bonding can even be used to fill a cavity instead of silver fillings. That makes it much harder to tell that there was a cavity in the tooth at all since the bonding material is the same color as the tooth.

Gaps Between Teeth

Finally, we can actually fill in any odd gaps between your teeth using dental bonding. This will make your smile look more natural and remove a place where bacteria can hide.
